Red Ribbon Week at in Pre-K Land

This week has been a busy, busy week.  As I worked on the photos, I thought....wow we did all of this?  There is never a dull moment in Pre-K land.  This teacher is tired as can be, but loves her little ones and her number 1 partner in crime Ms. Tasha.  Take a look at all the Red Ribbon activities of the week.  Fun was had by all....at least most of the time.  :-)

Pajama Day
Can we come everyday in PJs?

MRSE Pageant
So proud of this little one taking the stage.
Too Bright for Drugs
We were bright as we could be.

We missed Red Day pictures :-(

Team up Against Drugs
Getting a little hug off of these two little Yellow Jackets.

And of course the big day...
Drugs Don't Scare Me
Our class just loves Mrs. Karla.  She stopped by and read to us "The Little Old Lady Who Was not Afraid of Anything." The kids think every time she comes in that she is there to read.  Love it.

Pete the Cat and The Four Groovy Buttons.  Love my Pete the Cat partner Ms. Tasha.  She makes everything as Pete would say "It's all good." Our hat was made out of foam and then it was put on a birthday party hat.  If you have never tried it, it's an awesome way to make a hat for dress up.  Our buttons were also made out of colored foam.  Easy costume and lots of fun.

Help me!!! There is a cat on my head!!!

All dressed up and having fun
We are as cute as we can be.

Pumpkin Carving Time

We pulled out the seeds.  Take a look at the many expressions of Mrs. Lisa :-)

Leaves are Falling, Leaves are Falling, One Fell on My Nose

This has been another great week of learning and fun in room 38.  We've been talking about fall, singing songs about fall, reading books and painting.  We love fall in Pre-K land.  We have also started to remember lots of letters.  This week on our walk back from the media center we found all the letters we knew in the front hall.  Ss was our letter for the week, and we found so many.  We even recognized all the letters on the STOP sign.  It's so exciting to see the little 4 year old learn.  They love school and are very excited about everything.  Take a look at just a small part of our week.

We painted leaves this week.  Anyone can paint with a brush, but we made our masterpieces with the cardboard toilet paper roll and paint.  We also learned that when you put the tube down in the paint it would make a bubble.

More leaves

Center time fun.  Full of picture taking, pilots, doctors, road work doll house playing.

All of the the crew went on a walk with Ms. Tasha to find leaves.  We then made patterns with some of the leaves collected.

Meet our new friend

Over the weekend I got this little fellow for our classroom.  We now have two turtles and an orange bearded dragon.  The crew will be so surprised in the morning.
Looking forward to another awesome week in Pre-K land

Pumpkins, Storybook Characters, Turkey Time and Christmas Cheer Oh My

Hi Everyone..... I am playing catch up on the blog after a much too long break.  I am currently at home recovering from having surgery on my neck.  Until I had the surgery, I did not realize just how much it was taking out of me.  So...now to get back on track.  I thought about doing several post, but decided to put it all in one.  Lots of pictures to see of all the learning and fun that went on in room 8 enjoy.

Pumpkin Time
One of my favorite things to do in the fall is carve the pumpkin.  It's amazing how may kids have never had the opportunity to clean out a pumpkin.

Lots of fun was had painting pumpkins to hang in the hang.  Kids love to paint, and still don't seem to get to do enough it.  They loved it.

Storybook Characters Day
We had so much fun dressing up this year for storybook character day.  I think the teachers had as much fun as the students.

Disney On Ice
I love, love, love Disney on Ice.  So much fun.  I think I enjoy it as much as the kids.  Once we returned the kids chose their favorite part of the show.  I ran off the pictures and they wrote about it.  They were so proud of their work.

Veteran's Day
I always love making the veteran's day craft.  This year each K room chose one branch of the military to honor.  Our class made Coast Guard Men and Women.

Thanksgiving
Last year I figured out that I could make hats for the kids to wear out of party hats.  It is wonderful.  We made these cute handprint turkeys and attached them to party hats.  Love, love, love.  So much easier than putting them on strips, measuring heads.......

This year we made pilgrim hats and the students wrote about what they are thankful for.  I think they turned out cute.

Christmas
They had so much fun dressing up for the pictures using the different props.  We put the pictures in Christmas frames and they were adorable.  One of my favorite Christmas crafts I have made.

Here are the frames.  So cute!

Handprint reindeer craft.

These turned out adorable.  Fingerprint Christmas Tree craft.  I loved how they turned out.  So cute.

Thumbprint reindeer craft

I love our Gingerbread paper plate Santa Claus.
They were all so cute and the kids loved making them.

Happy New Year!
