This week we read the book Love, Splat. My students loved this book. We had a lot of fun making a tree map, writing, and the best part of all......making Splat! Take a look at how cute they turned out. It's hard to see the writing on the heart, but they did a great job writing.

Your Splats turned out so cute! I love the idea to use the doily too!

Thanks Jennifer, and thank you for making the pattern. They did turn out so cute. I wish now I had made a smaller heart with the writing lines and put it on a bigger red instead of making that one with the lines. Oh well maybe next year. I can't wait to make so more Splats holding different things. The kids faces as they put their Splats together was priceless.
